'Sup? I'm guessing you're here to learn how to make gunpla. Let me get started then.
First, you will actually want a GUNdam PLAstic model kit. You can do so from the following sites. I have bought from most of these sites. I'll explain what each are good for.
Hobbywave.com(USA/Canada ONLY) - Good for big shipments as the shipping is $10 USA/$12 Canada
Gundamstoreandmore.com - cheap prices.
hlj.com(HobbylinkJAPAN) - This is a nice site if you want to get that new gundam model kit and can't wait for the other two sites provided to have it. This is only recommended for ONE item usage.
Okay. Now you can start with any kind of gunpla. I recommend High Grades 1/144 scale for you beginners. This will be a nice, fun build for you to start with. 2-3 hours roughly.
Now, let's begin on some basic information
The whole thing is called a tree. A tree has multiple parts to cut out. All the parts are connected by sprews.Some supplies you'll need
Nippers
Craft/X-Acto Knife (beware of hurting yourself on accident)The reason why there isn't so much stuff is because this is for beginners. I'm gonna go through just basic stuff.
Now, you want to make sure you cut the part out so that some of the sprews connecting it to the tree are still connected. Like so;
Now, take your X-Acto Knife and cut the sprews off close enough to the edge of the part but not too close that it'll cut off a chunk of the part. Believe me, it'll look horrible.After that, you want to shave off any excess from the sprew connection. Get it nice and smooth. Here's a video to demonstrate - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeBsRsXU__4&feature=channel_page
(btw, tell him I sent ya' ;) )
Now that you've done that, put your parts together, and voila!! Before you know, you'll have your gundam roaring to go(I'm not gonna talk about stickers 'cause I know you guys aren't retarded). Enjoy your model kit
