[ZHOU YU & HG GUNDAM EXIA]

So, I started working on these two first. I've put 4 and 1/2(Not done with the fifth yet) together. Now, It's time for some updates.

Okay. So the Zhou Yu Hyaku Shiki is actually very impressive for a SD kit. From my memory of years ago, these have now been modified for more articulation. Oh man. :)The details are very nice. Just the head alone made me squeal like a kid. Arms don't have that arm articulation from back then, though. MAN DOWN!!!!

The legs are pretty impressive. Two points of articulation on the legs ^^ Oh, that made me so happy. The feet designs are cool too. Very ancient china-like
Finally, the main body is complete. The armor and armanents are done as well, but I didn't get any pictures of them that day.
Now on to Gundam exia. I did the most with him.
So, I did the white first. Not a good thing on my part. But it's okay. It was the major color, so I decided to start with the bigger portion of the color scheme. the parts on the string were taped to the stick. used double sided tape :)

That's my thinner behind it :)Transparent parts painted green :)

The grey parts were next. I masked the white parts that needed grey parts. Perhaps I'll make a video on my youtube account :)A lighter grey that the default grey :)
A lighter red. Pink you could say. Going for the designer's color
The arms aren't on because the shoulder pads are connected to it. Painting the blue and yellow tomorrow. Then it's the silver and top coat :). Oh I'm excited

I'll panel line then once I get all of them done. Until then, I'll see you all later.

[File Uploading...TF: ROTF Sideswipe]

[NAME: Sideswipe]
[RACE: Cybertronian]
[TEAM: Autobots]
With the upcoming Transformers movie, coming in about 22 days now, I decided to do a review on this site.
This site is revolving around the character Sideswipe. We have no idea what kind of person he is except that he is a warrior. I will update this post with a bio on him. Let's move on.

[Alt mode.... LOADED]
His alternate mode is a Stingray Concept Corvette. It's sweet look gives reason for his name Sideswipe. The Corvette characters are present in this new alt mode. Sadly, this is only a concept and will not be released to the public.

Some more pictures for you.

As you can see, the back loses some characteristics of the classic look. I like it though

In the end, I really have no complaints about the car. But let's move on to it's tranformation

[Transformation.... LOADED]
Words will follow to help misunderstandings

1. Pull up the frontbumper. This will separate it from what will be his legs. Then, separate the front bumper by pulling the piece on your right up.

2. Now, go to the back wheels, and pull them inward. Do not be afraid to add some force.

3. Now, move all those floating panels out ward. Hey look, a bird XD

4. Turn over the car again, and this time, pull on the torso and legs. This will now allow step 5 to be possible.

5. Pull down the back of the car/chest and pull the torso/legs up. The torso piece moves forward so that it may peg into the whole. Use Step 4 picture for reference.

6. Most the back of the hood to reveal the head.. wait... EPIC HEAD REVEAL!!!!!

7. Flip down the wheels inside the legs

8. Then flip down the main wheels and push up the frontbumpers until the don't move anymore. This will allow more stabibility when standing.

9. Flip out the hands from his forearm.

10. Finally, fidget with those wings until you like 'em. I move em back and fold 'em up.

11. Now, fold those little babies down and you'll have Sideswipe in Robot Mode.

[Robot Mode... LOADED]
Look at this sexy guy

Sideswipe, as you can see, has a very nice robot mode. This proportions have been loved ever
since pictures of him had came out. He has very nice details and features as well.
His face is very warrior like. It gives him a nice sleek look, which I believe is a must considering his name. It's almost as though he's wearing hockey gear.

His arms were engineered to give us two points of articulation. Oh, hasbro. You know how to please us so well. WHY NOT DO IT WITH ALL YOUR STUFF?!?!?!

As you can see on his torso is the Corvette emblem that everyone knows so well. Hmmm details like that just make me drool........... oops sorry.

The legs are very cool looking. Although this leads to difficult balancing, it enables let any pose look super slick(I think that's the word of the review hahaha)

Another feature in this toy is its illusion. As you look at the picture, you can see that instead of those four joints that look like they manuver the legs, it's actually 2 clear ball joints that do so. Clever, Hasbro... clever.

The last feature that this has is his twin blades on his arms. Instead of going around, that actually move symmetrically. This allows the swords to stay inplace instead of falling down everyone in a while.

Overall, I'd say this toy gets a 9/10. The peg that goes into the chest is loose on mine. Plus it is very hard at first to balance the toy. But, it's easy to get use to. In the end, the toy is a must for anyone who is a transformers fan or movie fan. This toy is full of epic win and sleekness. I leave you with one pose in many angles(actually three but XD)

Look at the slick pose :)

[Initiating Gunpla tutorial... Beginner level...]

*WARNING: THE FOLLOWING REQUIRES PATIENCE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED*

'Sup? I'm guessing you're here to learn how to make gunpla. Let me get started then.
First, you will actually want a GUNdam PLAstic model kit. You can do so from the following sites. I have bought from most of these sites. I'll explain what each are good for.

Hobbywave.com(USA/Canada ONLY) - Good for big shipments as the shipping is $10 USA/$12 Canada
Gundamstoreandmore.com - cheap prices.
hlj.com(HobbylinkJAPAN) - This is a nice site if you want to get that new gundam model kit and can't wait for the other two sites provided to have it. This is only recommended for ONE item usage.

Okay. Now you can start with any kind of gunpla. I recommend High Grades 1/144 scale for you beginners. This will be a nice, fun build for you to start with. 2-3 hours roughly.

Now, let's begin on some basic information
The whole thing is called a tree. A tree has multiple parts to cut out. All the parts are connected by sprews.

Some supplies you'll need
Nippers
Craft/X-Acto Knife (beware of hurting yourself on accident)

The reason why there isn't so much stuff is because this is for beginners. I'm gonna go through just basic stuff.

Now, you want to make sure you cut the part out so that some of the sprews connecting it to the tree are still connected. Like so;
Now, take your X-Acto Knife and cut the sprews off close enough to the edge of the part but not too close that it'll cut off a chunk of the part. Believe me, it'll look horrible.

After that, you want to shave off any excess from the sprew connection. Get it nice and smooth. Here's a video to demonstrate - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeBsRsXU__4&feature=channel_page
(btw, tell him I sent ya' ;) )

Now that you've done that, put your parts together, and voila!! Before you know, you'll have your gundam roaring to go(I'm not gonna talk about stickers 'cause I know you guys aren't retarded). Enjoy your model kit

[Gundam 00 Series Review Season 1]

[Program.... start]

Hello. Today we are doing a Anime Series Review. The first one I though should be a recent anime which was also a big hit(for me anyway): Gundam 00. This will be a review of the series in a general whole sense. Sadly, I'll have to divide this into two parts as there are two seasons and I want to be able to review something without mushing it. Here we go.Summary- The Series starts in the year of 2307. The human race has just completely used up all of Earth's fossil fuels. But in turn, they have come up with a way to replace that by utilizing three normous Space Elevators equipped with massive Solar power generation systems. But the ones that are in control of it are three power blocks of the worl: UNION, Human Reform League (HRL), and AEU(Europe).

Because the downfall of fossil fuels, countries that once were so rich in them had went into poverty. Wars erupted as some suffering places tried to "persuade" the Three Powers to share. This war was the 20 Year Solar War.

This lead to the creation of the Celestial Being, a group that started an armed intervention, vowing to end all war and unifying the world at any means necessary. They have the most advanced mobile suits of the time, The Gundam. These Gundams are piloted by four chosen pilots known as the Gundam Meisters.

As the armed interventions continue, the Three Powers are pushed to form the United Nations Army. Still being over powered by Celestial Being and its Gundams, the UNA hires a Celestial Being intel agent turned traitor, Laguna Harvey. This has Celestial Being put in a tight spot.

During a battle where the Gundams are losing, The Gundam Thrones show up. They help the Gundams out of the tight spot and say that they have a the same intention as Celestial Being. However, the Thrones go on about it in a more aggressive, cold-hearted way; killing everything and everyone that gets in the way. This leads to the people and government feeling more strong about the eradication of Celestial Being.

While this is happening, Alexander Corner and his companion, Ribbons Almark, search for the computer that aided Celestial Being, VEDA. As Ribbons hacks into it, they find that the founder of Celestial Being, Aeolia Schenberg, is in a cryogenic stasis. Alexander, then, takes a gun and fires upon the frozen man. Without knowing though, this activates Celestial Beings key system, The Trans Am System, only installed on the original Gundams' solar furnaces.

As this happens, someone sends 30 GN-Xs to the UNA along with pseudo Solar Furnaces. This, finally enables the tables to be turned and allows the location of Ptolemaios, Celestial Beings space ship, to be known.

Finally, Celestial Being and The UNA start the final battle. The first wave cripples Celestial Being massively, having one of the Gundam Meisters killed. As they regroup and resupply, they go into battle knowning that there maybe no return at this point.

As their battles continue, the Gundam Meisters then use there Trans Am System for the last time for one last final push, making the UNA retreat at the cost of the destroyed Gundams.

In the finally, the most highlighted battle is with Setsuna's Exia(the main protagonist) and Alexander Corner's Alvatorre. Setsuna over powers the Alvatorre and uses Trans Am one last time, believing that Alexander is the reason for the chaos in the world.

Out of the blue, though, Graham, Setsuna's rival, goes in a GN Flag to avenge his soldiers. The battle leads to both suits heavily damaged. Setsuna and his Gundam Exia float in space...

It is now four years later. The World has finally unified as one and Ribbons is now pulling all the strings. What could happen in season 2?
--------------------
Review Part.... start
--------------------
This, I will say, was one of my favorite stories in an anime thus far. There was so much hinting at the things that are going on in our world: the running out of fossil fuels, poverty countries, and the solar power system, as we look into ways of solar power.

I admit, some episodes were runny while most of them were excellent. All in all, lots of character development, good plot. Though there are some things I really don't like. Like Tieria and Lockon thing going on at the end. I really don't like looking up pictures for them -_______-;

The animation was probably one of the best that I've seen. There was no stock footage used, proportions were usually correct, though sometimes I see the animators are still getting lazy.

One complaint I have is how Japan is always chosing little brats as main protagonists. I like Setsuna a lot because of his development in season 2, but season 1, many you could never find such a bigger brat than him in the series.

But, it's got everything you could want: Good animation, good plot, nice pace, though it can get to fast sometimes, good looking characters for both men and women if you're like that, and good development. I highly recommend this if you are a gundam fan, and I only recomment this if you're an anime fan.

That's all for now. Give me some feedback, eh?

Program Uploaded...

Hello. I'm The Robot Analyst.

An introduction to myself. My real name is Josh Kim, born on Sep. 10, 1992. I'm still in high school and pursuing a career in car design hopefully. If not, there's always animation and industrial design. I'm a collector/fan of Transformers, Gundam, and other mechas such as guren lagann and Linebarrels of Iron.

Really, this is the first blog that I've ever done. Though it's not gonna be just a normal blog. This will be used for my gunpla tutorials, gunpla reviews, transformers reviews, and so forth. Basically, everything that has to deal with mecha. I will also do some reviews of mecha animes as a whole. I'm not sure if it's gonna be great, but I'll try to keep information very entertaining and informative to all. That's all for now. Please visit more often or bookmark
